Highlights of Sony’s E3 Conference from Yesterday

Microsoft knocked their conference out of the park so it was only fitting that Sony did too. Sony brought it and then some and left a lot of gamers even more excited for the coming year in gaming. The company made some expected announcements but also had some surprises up their sleeves.

Final Fantasy VII Remake- I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the biggest fan of this series but man was this huge. This remake had been rumored for a long time and now it is finally happening. The original was one of the best and most popular RPGs ever made and fans have been wanting a HD remake. There is no release date set yet so I would guess this is coming out in 2016.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End- One of Sony’s best exclusives is the Uncharted series and the fourth installment of the series was announced at last year’s conference. At this year’s, Sony released an extended gameplay footage trailer that wowed everyone that was watching. The graphics look amazing and the gameplay looks just as good as it has always been. The game is due out in Spring 2016.

The Last Guardian- This one was years in the making and was finally revealed. The Last Guardian is a platform/puzzle solving game whose story centers on a boy and his guardian which looks like a dog/bird creature. Together they solve puzzles and explore a huge world. This has no tentative release date but is supposed to come out in 2016.

Some of the other announcements that I chose not to highlight are: a new Hitman game, Disney Infinity, a Kickstarter for Shenmue 3, and some Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 gameplay.

Did I miss anything? Let me know and I’ll include it in an update!
