Recapping Fallout 4’s Announcements Yesterday at E3

Yesterday, Bethesda took to the E3 stage to show off what is coming from their studios soon. Connor will take you through the whole press conference later but I’m going to go through all the Fallout 4 announcements here.

To start, the game is being released this year! It is going to be released on November 10th and I hope it does not get delayed. For XBox One players, when you buy Fallout 4, you will get Fallout 3 for free.

As for in-game content, Fallout 4 will feature a robust customization feature for your character like there was in previous entries. The game was confirmed to be taking place in and around the city of Boston which we already knew. The VATS System is back as well and the game’s timeline will take place from before the bombs drop to after, which I am assuming will be the brunt of the game.

There is going to be a feature in the game to allow for the player to rebuild the destroyed city to being in merchants and more people to your settlement. This is a really cool option and something that I hope will be a key feature. Item crafting will also be in the game.

Another big announcement came in the form of announcing that there is going to be a companion app to go along with the game. The companion app will be a mobile version of Pip Boy. From your phone, you will be able to customize your character and have full range of all the in-game Pip Boy options on the go. If you buy the collector’s edition of the game, you will get a Pip Boy frame that you can put your phone in and wear on your wrist.
